4-H Nova Scotia Provincial Show is held the last weekend in September/ first weekend in October and is in a different location each year. Top projects from each county compete at the show. Of course, you don’t have to have a project entered to go, there is no cost and it is open to all 4-H’ers and the public to attend!
The 4-H Nova Scotia Provincial Show is the largest 4-H show in Canada and 4-H members work hard all year to earn a spot to compete at the final event of the 4-H year. 4-H members are selected at their county level with the top county winners in each class moving on to showcase their talents at the Provincial Show. Over 40 projects, 90 classes and more than 2,400 entries will be on display throughout the weekend. Highlights of the show include livestock auctions, champion showmanship classes, Young Speakers for Agriculture competition, life skills projects on display, dairy and beef selections for the Royal Agricultural Winter Fair in Toronto and the Top County Flag presented at the closing ceremony. An all time favorite among members and spectators is the Tug-of-War pulls over the weekend. Come experience all that 4-H has to offer youth in Nova Scotia!
